Getting started
1. Pop one plastic free cleaning Drop into your 500ml bottle and fill it with warm water. It's OK if you want to use a slightly larger bottle up-to 750ml.
2. Put the lid on the bottle and shake for 20 seconds and wait for the Drop to dissolve.
3. Turn the spray-nozzle end for a fine mist, or jet spray. Then start cleaning.
The cleaning drops are the crucial piece in the plastic free cleaning puzzle! Do not cut the Drop, it will dissolve when in contact with warm water like magic, but science!!
Ah hahhh, whilst this does look like plastic, this is polyvinyl alcohol (known as PVOH) (not plastic). It is dissolvable and biodegradable and forms part of our cleaning product. Do not remove before adding water. Store in a dry place, away from humidity/water.
Raindrop will last just as long as your normal big brand cleaning products. In fact maybe a bit longer, you can use our cleaner very sparingly. If you're a Monica from friends type cleaner then your Raindrop cleaner isn't going to last that long. However once you've mixed up the cleaning Drop with warm water, it will last as long as it take to use.
You certainly can use your own bottles, however we can't guarantee they will work every time with your nozzle! This is a weirdly over complicated part of Raindrop. Our vented nozzles that come with our glass bottles are designed to filter and prevent any clogs in the nozzle head. Meaning it works every time.
Bathroom cleaner is suitable on porcelain, stainless steel, ceramic, arcyclic, glass, uPVC.
Kitchen cleaner is suitable on ceramic, stainless steel, quartz, granite, wood
Multi cleaner is suitable on all modern surfaces, wood, plastic etc.
If you're unsure we always recommend a little test in a discreet corner, spraying directly onto a cloth. If you fancy giving us a go, but not quite sure on the surface it will be used on, email us at talk@raindropclean.com and we will pop you a sample Drop in the post.
Our Drops clean as well as the brand you're used to, or your money back.
Our lemon scented bathroom cleaner is tough on soap scum and powers through limescale. It smells super-zesty-lovely-fresh too.
Our kitchen cleaner is super tough on grease and grime and is made to tackle those tough annoying stains. Despite having a strong cleaning ability, it does not sit within the 'degreaser' category.
You certainly can, but be sure to use it very sparingly. A little goes, along way. It will never work the same as an actual glass cleaner - but we've got one of them coming soon!
Sealed painted surfaces good. Non-finished surfaces bad. When using on a sealed painted surface spray on the cloth rather than surface.
If you fancy giving us a go, but not quite sure on the surface it will be used on, email us at talk@raindropclean.com and we will pop you a sample Drop in the post.
Whilst our cleaners are safe on almost all surfaces, on sensitive unpredictable surfaces like granite we recommend a little test in a discreet corner. Also be sure to use the product sparingly, a little goes a long way.

Whilst our cleaners are safe on almost all surfaces, we have not completed tests on these surfaces yet. We will endeavour to do this. With any uncommon surface we always recommend a little test in a discreet corner. Also be sure to use the product sparingly, a little goes a long way.

Whilst we wish we had ability to test each and every unique surface out there, it's just not possible. All our ingredients of each product are listed in the ingredients section.
If you fancy giving us a go, but not quite sure on the surface it will be used on, email us at talk@raindropclean.com and we will pop you a sample Drop in the post. We recommend to spray onto a cloth and to test on a small area, using sparingly.
Subscriptions
We send you refills in the post as frequently as you need them. It costs just £4.99 for 3x 500ml refills when you buy on a subscription (or £6 without). If you opt for a subscription you can decide the frequency we deliver to you, so you will never have to think about buying cleaning products again. Hoorah!!!
Mmmmm that's hard for us to say, it really depends on how frequently you replace your regular household cleaners. We find on average though every 3 months is about right. You can always tweak your subscription to suit you, or order as you go too if you need some extra cleaning Drops.
Ohh that's easy. Let your product run out, give it a little rinse, then off you go again.
Head to your Raindrop account and you will find a link to your subscriptions there (sitting underneath your name). Once you have clicked on here, all your subscriptions will be displayed. Select the relevant subscription (click the order number) and you will be able to manage your subscription there.
Alternatively drop us an email at talk@raindropclean.com and we'll be able to help.
Bottles & Packaging
Our amber glass bottles can withstand a drop from waist height on a hard floor. It's possible that if they are dropped on very hard surfaces or from higher than this that they will break. As sturdy as they are, they are still glass so please take care whilst using them.
Our starter pack box, also doubles up as our mailing box. Which means one less box. It's made from tough recycled cardboard and is 100% plastic free. Please be sure to recycle your box once your bottles arrive.
All our packaging is 100% plastic free, biodegradable and FSc Certified.
When popping your cleaning Drop in a bottle, please make sure you use warm water and give your bottle a good shake. If not, sometimes the Drop doesn’t fully dissolve and can cause blockages, fear not it’s a quick easy fix.
1. Unscrew the nozzle from the bottle and detach the little vent on the end of the pipe.
2. Give the vent a wash out with some warm water and reattach.
If for some reason this doesn’t work please get in touch @ and we’ll be happy to help.
Our cleaning sachets aka Drops are designed to disappear. They are made of polyvinyl alcohol (known as PVOH) (this is not plastic). It is dissolvable and biodegradable and forms part of our cleaning product. Keep stored away from water, or it will start to dissolve.
Water soluble films dissolve completely upon contact with water and are biodegradable. They do not persist in the environment, contaminate the recycling stream, or contribute to the micro-plastic pollution.
Water soluble films are made of polyvinyl alcohol (known as PVOH).
Sometimes PVA is used as an abbreviation for polyvinyl alcohol, but it is also sometimes used as shorthand for polyvinyl acetate, a different substance that is often found in glue.
Water soluble films are fundamentally different in both composition and end-of-life performance when compared to bio plastics.
Water soluble films dissolve completely upon contact with water and naturally break down into water and carbon dioxide when consumed by bacterial micro-organisms. Therefore, they do not persist in the environment, contaminate the recycling stream or contribute to micro-plastic pollution.
Bioplastics can be soluble or insoluble in water and are typically made from plant or animal products. When used, they may be blended with water resistant polymers to make them useful in packaging applications. Unlike PVOH films however, such bio-plastic blends may not completely dissolve and are potentially a concern when they are non-water soluble because they could contaminate the typical recycling stream.

That’s a really good question, and one we get asked frequently. Raindrop has all the
cleaning power of your regular household cleaning brands we've been using over the years. We completely get it though that Anti-Bac properties are in increased demand at the moment. Despite having a very high-level cleaning capability, legally we are not able to claim our products are anti-bacterial. To do that we would need expensive third-party lab tests and would need to introduce new chemicals into our carefully crafted cleaning blend.
We're definitely looking into the safest way we can introduce an antibacterial product into our range – but as a new brand right now we are focussed on the launch of our core cleaning products. Please follow our page or subscribe to our mailing list for updates. Also if you’d like to see any other cleaning products in our range please let us know.
No nasty and harmful chemicals are used to make our Drops.
Surely it goes without saying these days. But you'd be surprised 😔 But just to be sure our Drops are 100% cruelty free.
Did you know that not all cleaning products are vegan? No, nor did we. Raindrop Drops are 100% animal product free with no nasties or unneeded ingredients.

Safety & Instructions
Like any household cleaning brands, it is always great to have layer of extra protection. Gloves and clothes are good, so is eye protection if you have it available.
We get it they look scary. There's nothing to be concerned about, these warning labels are there as a legal precaution for the cleaning powder into the Drops only. If you follow the instructions/safety guide then you should be fine.
They should be fine, but please check the ingredients list if you have known specific allergies.
All the cleaners in our current range come scented, so if you did use them we would recommend rinsing down. We are looking into adding a non scented food safe version, but i'm afraid we're not quite there yet.
DO NOT SWALLOW. Immediately call a POISON CENTRE or doctor if required. Take off contaminated clothing and wash it before reuse.
Keep out of reach of pets. Pets should be out of the way when using Raindrop, once surfaces are cleaned pets are ok to touch cleaned surfaces.
